The company Maxis created the “Sim” series of games, which included the original Sim City, all the way through the wildly popular “Sims” series. At one point in the company’s early history, they were pressured into creating a business division that made corporate simulations, which played like a typical Maxis “Sim” game.
Eventually, Maxis separated from the business division, who continued to make simulation “games” for professional environments. One of those “games”, Sim Refinery, was just leaked along with the full story of the business division.
