Stone Age Gamer is now the official US reseller of the OSSC Pro! They’re currently in-stock and selling with a remote and PSU for $350 plus shipping; Essentially the same price as if you bought them from the UK reseller, but with faster shipping to North America. SaG is also selling the Composite and S-Video input board for $38 and is offering a 3D Printed shell for $15. If you’re in the US and have been waiting on an OSSC Pro, now’s the time to get one:
US Seller: https://retrorgb.link/osscprous
Composite / S-Video Adapter (US): https://retrorgb.link/osscproavus
UK Seller: https://retrorgb.link/osscpro
As a note, this is the version of the A/V adapter that’s only Composite and S-Video. A future version is planned that also includes an RF adapter, but there’s no solid release date for that.
The OSSC Pro has become an awesome choice for a scaler, with even lumacode support being recently added. It’s also an incredible downscaler offering a ton of features that anyone interested in 240p or 480i output would be interested in. Please check out more info on that here: https://www.retrorgb.com/osscprodownscaling.html
Also, while the OSSC I tested ran at a reasonable temperature, Markus added a fan header directly to the board and the case has the fan mount integrated into it. If you know your OSSC Pro will be in a poorly-ventilated space…or if you’d just like the peace of mind of having a fan, here’s links and some basic instructions: https://www.retrorgb.com/add-a-fan-to-your-ossc-pro.html
Also, if you’d like to see the OSSC Pro in action, I did a livestream with the creator on launch day:
