There’s already an overwhelming amount of reviews floating around for the new Sega Genesis Mini emulation console, so rather than follow the herd, I thought I’d concentrate on one aspect of the experience that not many others have covered: Lag. I go through both audio lag, as well as overall emulation lag compared to an original console. Of course, I use a CRT, a Time Sleuth and a 960fps slow-motion camera to calculate solid measurements and give people an idea of what to expect.
As expected, it’s a typical “emulation box”, which some people might be happy with, others not so much. I’m still thrilled I bought it though, as the 3-button controllers work perfect with MiSTer and the Mini itself is an awesome looking console! Defintely the best looking of all the “Mini’s”!
