ODE creator Deunan has just posted a message stating he’s taken down all links to GDEMU firmware: https://gdemu.wordpress.com/2019/11/18/out-of-time/
In the blog post, Deunan clams the reason the firmware is being pulled is because some people’s GDEMU’s were being bricked during the firmware update process. At first, I assumed that meant “pulled until a fix is released”, however it seems Deunan is doing the exact opposite, saying: “I’m probably going to take down the whole Updating section of the site down eventually.”
What’s more baffling is he’s ‘flabbergasted’ that people would need a public link and not just email him:
“To answer the question of “What if there is a bug or a new feature that needs FW update?” – well, you bought from me, you have my email. Why not ask for the update that way. In fact I’m flabbergasted people would rather complain about their installation problems in the comments than email me.“
…which is ironic, as just about a year ago, he threatened to cancel people’s orders, simply for emailing him: https://gdemu.wordpress.com/2018/08/04/the-rhythm-of-everyday-life-contd/
I just don’t get it.
