A firmware update was just released for the Fenrir optical drive emulator, that ads a very handy feature: exFAT support. That means you won’t need any special Windows software to format the MicroSD card, simply right click on the drive, hit “format” and select exFAT as the file system:
UPDATE: A firmware was just released after this one that fixed a bug setting the correct console region, that was introduced with the previous update. Skip the 8/22 and get the 8/24 version (or newer) from this link: https://www.fenrir-ode.fr/firmware.html#download
