In what is a continuing trend that I’ve grown fond of, another NEW game is out for the seemingly immortal Genesis/Mega Drive. The game, released by RetroSouls goes by the name of Old Tower.
It’s an action puzzler where you play as a little explorers in a towers full of deadly traps and ugly skullz. Your only weapons to help you win will be a combination of quick-thinking and skill. Graphically, the game reminds me of a cross between Mutant Mudds & Micro Mages.
I downloaded the ROM onto my Everdrive MD, and it played without issue. The game is a lot of fun, and I highly Raycommend that anyone with a way of playing this either on real hardware or via emulation give it a whirl. The developer also takes donations on the games website.
It seems that this game may also get a physical release through MegaCat Studios.
Let’s hope that this trend continues!
