MiSTer FPGA News – Mortal Kombat, Raiden II, New Cores & More

MisTex Update

The MiSTex project has recently showed off a video of Q-Bert running on an Artix 100T FPGA was. Hans, the developer, has also suggested using a Raspberry Pi Zero as the HPS due to its better software support. Also, a picture of the MiSTex cape attachment for FPGA boards on a DECA Board was also shared. The hardware for the project is open source and the files can be downloaded from GitHub. However, as this project is still in its early stages, it is advisable to wait before investing in any related products.

MiSTex is a fork of MiSTer with the goal of being able to use whatever FPGA chip you want, and currently paired with the Allwinner D1 as the HPS.

The Next Space & Paddle Mania

Darren_O recently revealed that two new arcade titles have been launched. Both are by SNK, with one of them being The Next Space, a vertically scrolling shooter. You can obtain these cores by enabling Coin-Op collection in Update All.
