A new firmware update was recently released for the GameCube version of the MemCard Pro. This adds the ability to override the default region of the memory card and fixed an identification error that was occurring on Japanese consoles. The wifi-based firmware updates have now been moved to a different server, so if you update your MemCardPro GC via the web software & WiFi, you’ll need to manually perform the update via the MicroSD card first. Then, for all future updates, you can go back to using wifi. Or, if you just drop the files on the MicroSD like I do, nothing changes 🙂
