I recently did a livestream testing out the really awesome Sega Master System cartridge converters from the developer Apocalypse: One that allows you to play Colecovision games and another that lets you play all Japanese 8-Bit Sega games. In the livestream, I stumbled upon a bug where my MKIII copy of Outrun wouldn’t boot. I sent the cart to Mitsurugi-w and he and Apocalypse found a really quick fix: Simply cut one trace on the adapter (pics below). All adapters sold from now on will have this fix applied, but anyone who previously bought one before around today’s date might have to do it themselves. While these adapters aren’t for everyone, I really like them! I think the color difference (a Sega hardware issue, not an issue with these adapters) might negatively affect some games, but for the most part, these are just fun and handy cartridge adapters.
