Kytor RT5x BNC Adapter Open Sourced

Kyle from Kytor Industries has just decided to open source his “BNCtoSCART” adapter, that lets people route RGBs via BNC cables directly to the RetroTINK 5x.  This is designed for people using BNC equipment like Extron Crosspoints, or people daisy chaining their consoles from the PVM to the RT5x.  Kyle also has a few more in stock if you’d rather just buy one, but he won’t be making any after this:

One thing to note, is this adapter has a resistor on the sync line, for SCART voltage safety.  One purchased from the store come with the resistor on by default, which is exactly what you want:  All Extron equipment outputs TTL-level voltage on the sync line, which is too high for SCART equipment.  It’s possible if you’re daisy chaining consoles though a PVM that you won’t need this, but it’s always best to start WITH the resistor – The worst thing that can happen is it drops the voltage too low and it won’t sync.  Then and only then, would you want to solder the jumper and pass the full signal over.

While this is totally a niche product, I’d be willing to bet RetroTINK 5x users who run BNC through their setup would really appreciate it!
