Here’s a sad bit of news: The Australian Computer Museum Society’s storage facility is about to get demolished. From the sounds of the article, they just need a place to store everything and people to move it (which I assume is the harder part): http://www.abc.net.au/news/science/2018-08-07/australian-computer-museum-society-risk-from-bulldozers/10077580
I completely understand the expenses involved in running something like a computer museum, but the cost of long-term storage in a rural facility should be pretty cheap overall. People are invited down to take what they can before the construction starts, which is apparently this Friday!
@RetroRGB Could you give this a shout out on the podcast? We need some help to preserve some old computers. https://t.co/IupasYyaKL
