GamesCare Component Video Switch – EU Seller

Video Game Perfection is now selling GamesCare’s 6-in, 2-out, automatic component video switch.  Their design utilizes 3.5mm adapters instead of RCA jacks for a smaller form factor.  I reviewed it last year and other than sometimes getting audio clipping on the Wii, it performed well.  The price is around $160 plus shipping, depending on how many 3.5mm breakout adapters you’d like with it.  More info below, including a link to the original review:

The first and most important thing to note about the switch, is which 3.5mm jack is for audio and which is for video!  The unit I received made it easy to tell, as the jack with three connections is video:

Also, as noted above, people have reported issues with audio from the Wii clipping through this switch.  I’m not sure if this issues was fixed, if it only affected certain model Wii’s, or if it’s always an issue.  Other than that, all my tested showed no audio issues or video interference added at any of the resolutions it supports.  It also can simultaneously output to both ports safely, with no issues.
