Atari Jaguar: Wings Of Death

The 1990 vertically scrolling shooter called Wings of Death is now available to purchase as an Atari jaguar cartridge.  The game was initially released on the Amiga and Atari ST, however the original developer Eclipse Software, has remade the game specifically for the Jaguar.  This is a significant upgrade, raising the framerate from about 20fps to 60, plus allowing for three times more colors than the original!  This first run of Jaguar Wings Of Death also comes with a CD soundtrack, with the original ST and Amiga soundtracks.  The price is $100 and it’s in-stock now:

This seems like a really cool buy for Jaguar owners.  It’s not just a “port of an ST game” like we’ve seen before – Tripling the fps is a big deal and can totally change the overall experience.  There’s also some other enhancements, like saving your high scores via EEPROM, as well as multiple difficulty modes.
