I found a 12-outlet power strip that can fit the large power bricks we retro gamers use next to each other. It’s also a sturdy metal construction and is available in three color configurations. The outlets themselves have a very tight grip, which may or may not be good for your setup. As long as you can fit a 32″ power strip, at $40, it’s a great choice. So basically, this is a good power strip. When basic products like this work, there’s not much to discuss. Which is actually a compliment – stuff like power strips should be items we don’t ever think about after installing. The only point I’d like to reiterate, is it takes a bit of force to plug stuff in…but the connection is SOLID. If you’re looking for a benchtop power strip, that you’ll constantly be unplugging and re-plugging, this probably isn’t for you. But I think everyone else will appreciate how secure it is, which I even demo’d in the video by turning it upside down and shaking it pretty hard.
The only other thing to mention, is if you have the odd power brick that’s even bigger than the ones I tested, just put the biggest ones at the ends, the place smaller bricks next to the bigger ones; Basically, just don’t try to put all the largest next to each other. Smaller Triad’s have plenty of room to spare, so you can just alternate with those if needed. Check the video above for all the little details, but I think this was the perfect match for my desk.
