Joe from Game Sack just released a video demoing every Famicom cartridge that offered an expansion audio chip. Each game had examples played and you get to hear which sounds are generated by the Famicom console and which were made with the expansion chips. This is a must-watch for anyone curious about these games!

As a note, Joe covered the cartridge-based games. There’s also about 75 games for the Famicom Disk System, which allows for one extra audio channel. While it’d be fun to get a follow up video comparing any of those to games that had releases other than the FDS, that’s not the focus of this video.
