Official Atari Jaguar Game Reissues

Songbird Productions is now selling more re-issued Atari Jaguar games.  The first is Atari Karts, the infamous Mario Kart clone, which is $90.  This is a complete in box, official reissue, that should be almost identical to the original…just much cheaper than what you can find used ones selling for.  They also are selling reissues of the homebrew games Wormhole 2000 and Spidex, developed by PhoBoz for $80 each.  Here’s links to everything, with more info below – And check out their store for other official Jaguar releases:

Wormhole 2000:  https://songbird-productions.com/product/wormhole-2000/
Spidex:  https://songbird-productions.com/product/wormhole-2000/

Atari Karts is one of those games anyone curious about the Jaguar needs to play.  It’s just the perfect example of what went wrong back then and people who never played it back in the day always seem to appreciate seeing what it’s like.  While Tempest 2000 is (in my opinion) the best Jaguar game, if you’re a collector of original cartridges, Atari Karts is one you might want in your collection for notoriety alone and thanks to Songbird, now you can have one at a fraction of what used ones go for on eBay.

…and speaking of Tempest, Wormhole looks to be a pretty neat homebrew game heavily inspired by it.  I embedded two launch videos from the dev below if you’d like to see what it and Spidex are like, to help decide if you’d like to purchase.

And as always, with all modern cartridge releases, please check the beveling when yours arrive.  If it’s not beveled, you can damage your console…but also don’t forget that if it is beveled, the company making them should be praised.  So post a macro shot from your cellphone on social media when you get yours and tag Songbird – I think they’d really appreciate the community knowing the carts they make are safe to own!
