Chris’ DreamConn line of Bluetooth wireless controllers for the Dreamcast is nothing new. They’ve been available for purchase for some years now. However, his latest iteration, the DreamConn S, packs a huge punch with some killer features (listed below).
- New shell and custom faceplates for VM2.
- Original hall effect analog stick.
- Seamless VM2 integration.
- Support for Jump Pack or second VMU in Slot 2.
- Support for 4x memory card and third-party memory cards.
- VMU buzzer support.
- Faster VMU LCD icon updates than DreamConn+.
- Faster VMU synching than DreamConn+.
- Controller and VMU icon support in Flycast.
- USB-C fast-charging.
- Automatically removes save protection from all files of any inserted VMU.
- Latency of about 10-15ms.
