Ace has transcribed a new arcade PCB to VHDL, creating a new MiSTer FPGA core for the Arkanoid (1986) arcade game. This will be yet another extremely high-quality port, since is modeled at the chip level, giving each IC its own separate entity in the FPGA core. This allows the chips to function simultaneously, just like on original hardware. It was made with significant contributions from Ash Evans (ElectronAsh) and Enforcer. A public open-source release is expected in 2-3 weeks.
