Tito from Macho Nacho Productions just released a video that’s a first look at the upcoming VMU Pro – The Dreamcast version of the MemCard Pro. While the final features are still in development, this video is perfect to give you an idea of what to expect. Pre-orders are still open at around $80 plus shipping and they’re still due to arrive to customers before the end of the year:

This video is exactly what I hoped for: Confirmation that the VMUPro is just as feature-filled as the MemCard Pro’s, with some VMU-specific options as well. And while the built-in emulation is neat, I think the strongest features are the basics, including things like being able to connect this to an original VMU to transfer saves. I don’t think it’s possible to have an easier way to back up and transfer saves on any memory card and I’m looking forward to seeing that demo’d in the future.
I already pre-ordered one on launch day, but this video just made that purchase feel even more solid!
