8bitmods have just announced that pre-orders for the VMU Pro will open this Thursday May 15th at 1PM NYC time. The VMU Pro is essentially the Dreamcast version of the MemCard Pro, with a shell designed by Greg from LaserBear to ensure it fits exactly like the original VMU’s. More information will be coming before the pre-orders start, but I wanted to give everyone a heads up right away, so you’ll be ready for Thursday! I’ve been a massive fan of all the MemCard Pro’s and am equally as excited for this one. Also, Greg mentioned on social media that the VMU Pro was the most difficult of the MemCard Pro shells, as it required a custom VMU connector and custom button membranes; It sounds like a lot of love and effort were put into this and I can’t wait for them to share more details:
