Stone Age Gamer is now selling a RetroOnyx bluetooth controller adapter for the Nintendo Virtual Boy. This is based off Darthcloud’s open source Blueretro platform, that offers some of the lowest bluetooth latency ever recorded when used with a fast controller. There are Boot and Reset buttons right on the adapter, which take the place of the original VB controller’s power switch. They’re not cheap at $120, but if you own a Virtual Boy and prefer a wireless controller, at least check it out:

I think this adapter might be best suited for people who have a VirtualTap adapter, for playing on external displays. Don’t get me wrong, I bet it’s still pretty cool to be able to use something like a PS5 controller on a VB and not being tethered has it’s advantages! But for people looking to sit on a couch and play their VB on a big screen, this adds some cool functionality. Check out the product page for all the details and see if its for you!
Also, if you’re interested in how awesome the Virtual Boy homebrew scene is, check out the livestream I did with Kevin Mellott from RetroOnyx. While it’s a few years old (and was done before this was released), it still showcases some of the awesome hardware accessories, as well as amazing homebrew games:
