Krikzz has just listed a brand new Turbo Everdrive for sale – This is the “pro” version that can also play CD images (in mono) and has arcade card functionality. The price is $220 plus shipping and it seems to be in stock in two colors right now:

I had a chance to test one out and thought it performed really well, even with the beta firmware! I realize having the CD audio only play as mono might be a dealbreaker for some people and that’s totally fine. It really depends on your use case and price should definitely be a factor: It’s $100 cheaper than the SSDS3 and if you don’t need HDMI output, this might be a better fit for you.
I’ll post some reviews once they’re available, as I’d love to see someone do a deep-dive with MDFourier audio analysys!
Here’s it’s launch day features:
- Cyclone IV FPGA
- 16MB of PSRAM memory
- High quality 6-layer PCB with hard gold surface finish
- Built-in CD-ROM² core
- Arcade card functions
- In-game menu
- Multi slot save states
- Ten no Koe 2 saves support
- Cheats
- Custom menu themes
- Switchless region auto detection
- Built-in firmware installer
- USB port for development
