Lu from Lu’s Retro Source and Louis from Zez Retro (me) sit down and talk through all the changes to MiSTer FPGA which enable s-video and composite output.
With the addition of Mike Simone’s S-Video updates into the MiSTer main project, the project is now ready for public release. The project has been under active development for some time which has been exciting but meant the designs were not locked down and changed often.
Now the design is finalized, all you need to do is purchase a fairy inexpensive adapter and run your update script. The adapter will give you a close to perfect s-video & composite output which can work through the analog IO board or via Direct Video from the HDMI. If you only had a DE-10 Nano without an analog IO board, you could take a HDMI to VGA adapter and combine it with this s-video adapter and would be a very cost effective way of playing the MiSTer on a CRT.
