Game Challenge
The next game for the MiSTerFPGA Discord game challenge is The Pinball of the Dead for Game Boy Advance! It is a high score challenge on all 3 tables that goes until November 10th.
Control Menu through HDMI-CEC
Greg from Laser Bear Industries recently showed off a television remote, controlling the MiSTer FPGA menu via HDMI CEC. This is a nice quality of life feature if you have your MiSTer FPGA connected to your main television. It is really useful for SNAC users because it allows them to switch cores and games without needing a keyboard.

MiSTer MultiSystem SNAC
Heber posted their lineup of current and future SNAC adapters. They include adapters for:
SNES
Nintendo 64
PC Engine
Playstation
Sega Saturn (Future)
MT32Pi
All these adapters fit into the MiSTer Multisystem cartridge port, but also have a port to connect to a standard MiSTer stack. Additionally, most of these adapters have the ability to connect to real consoles. For example, the 5 player PC Engine adapter can also be plugged into a real PC Engine.

TwinBee
Developer Raki confirmed that the Twinbee core is in development now, but the first release may be delayed. Raki may also create a patch for Twinbee that bypasses the power on self-test. This will make it quicker to actually start playing the game.
Salamander
Raki also updated the Salamnder core. These are the updates.
1. spclone(for HBMAME) mras was added
2. A 3-button input naming error was fixed
3. And the DIP setting reload issue was fixed
There are still some known issues with sprites and there’s a weird PCM playback on the third stage.
MiSTer Pi Deep Dive
What’s Ken Making recently posted a deep dive video on the MiSTer Pi by RetroRemake. He performs many test like thermals, power usage, RAM speed & more.
MiSTer Pi QA changes
Recently Taki Udon posted an update on for the MiSTer Pi. They were having issues with the QA factory, so are going to re-QA the boards themselves which is going to delay the batch.
To avoid future delays and to better keep track of quality control, there are plans to move the entire QA & assembly process in house for all future releases.

Irem M90 Core
Core developer wickerwacka recently released a new Irem M90 core. It currently supports Bomber Man, Bomber Man World and it’s various regional variants.
This isn’t an official release and at the moment is only available for download from the MiSTerFPGA discord so head over there if you want to download it.
TapTo Version 2.0
wizzo just posted a major release to TapTo. Now at version 2.0, here are some of the new features.
- CD-ROM support, so now you can launch games by inserting a CD into a USB optical drive. Note that games do not run directly from CD’s, they just point to a ROM stored on your MiSTer.
- The Windows version is now available, but wizzo tells us it’s still in heavily development and more of a proof of concept. It can be used with launchers like Steam, LaunchBox and Flashpoint.
- Now there are alternate launchers for:
- Sinden cores
- LLAPI cores
- PWM cores
- and the overclocked N64 & PSX cores.
- So if you prefer to use these cores instead of the standard ones, you now have the option to use them.
