Sony has just announced they’ll be releasing a remastered version of “Ghostbusters: The Video Game” in 2019. Sony claims the game itself will be updated with “enhanced textures and lighting” and I assume that means higher resolution rendering as well. Also, all the cutscenes will supposedly be in 4K, as according to the blog:
“All of the in-game videos and cutscenes were found on a hard drive in storage from one of the original creators and remastered in 4K.“
The game was originally released in 2009 on pretty much every console that people were making games for. I personally played it on a Wii and truly felt the Wiimote added to the experience. While I love the game enough to buy it again and re-play the whole thing (a rare statement coming from me), I kinda wish it was a PSVR game…or at least something that you can “feel” like you’re using a proton pack and not a game controller. Who knows, maybe it’ll be so awesome in 4K I won’t even care about using a standard controller?
