Martin Hejnfelt’s homebrew 68x input cards for A-Series Sony BVM monitors are now back in stock and ready to ship. This is the basic BNC version that includes a 75 Ohm termination switch on-board: Flip them on to use just the inputs, or turn them off if you’d like to use the passthrough circuit to send the output to another monitor or scaler (like the original 68x). Anyone with an A-Series BVM probably understands the importance of this card and I’m really happy to see it back in stock. Not only was the original rare and thousands of dollars, but keeping these alternatives in stock has been a nightmare as well! Between the part shortage a few years ago and current shipping issues, I’m both happy and surprised to see these available.
As a note, an “xtreme” version may also be available from a UK seller with different input choices. Choose whichever card fits your needs best, as the performance should be about the same.
