Furrtek has just released some details about the Neo Geo SD Loader that he demo’d last year: http://furrtek.free.fr/sdloader/
Here’s some of the most exciting features listed:
- Non-destructive installation
- Can co-exist with the original optical drive
- Backup and restore saves to the SD card
- Greatly reduced loading times
The SD loader will be compatible with all standard NGCD top-loading models. Support is planned for front-loading and Furrtek will also look into CDZ support and see if that’s possible as well.
The first kits will be available in about a month for what Furrtek describes as “2-digit number”…so around $100 or less? Friggin awesome.
