Programmer and creator Francois Lionet has been working on a new version of the AMOS/STOS programming language called AMOS 2. The AMOS and STOS are forms of BASIC (Beginner’s All-purpose Symbolic Instruction Code) which is a programming language made simple for beginners to pick up and start their programming careers. This new version AMOS 2 is a project Francois has been working on to release fully. Its premise is to be simple using AMOS in JAVA, while compiling and being able to function all within itself. Previous code written in STOS or AMOS will be compatible and able to be imported into AMOS 2. He is still looking for help and support on his Patreon and recently launched his website for programmers to download the current versions of AMOS 2.
Recently Francois did an interview on Dan Wood’s YouTube channel helping to explain the history, retrospective and future on AMOS Basic programming. Many programmers, game designers, and computer enthusiast got their start with building and writing code using these languages. Francois’ goal is to make programming simple and bring back the days when individuals would write, build, create programs, and maybe. Inspire young people to take up coding and learn.
