8Bitdo just opened pre-orders on a very thin, “all-button” (aka ‘hitbox’) version of their Arcade Stick, in two different variants: One “Switch & Windows” version with retro-themed colors and an “Xbox Series X” version with RGB lighting around the buttons. Both versions offer 2.4Ghz wireless and wired USB support, but it appears only the “Switch” version offers Bluetooth on top of that; Please double check the product pages on both before buying to confirm which matches your setup best. The price is $90 & $100 respectively and they’re due to ship to customers on July 15th.

If you’re interested in hitbox-style controllers with a wide range of compatibility, these might be worth considering. They even offer dynamic button labeling that changes the labels when you switch between Switch (S-Input) and PC (X-Input) mode. Both should be compatible with basically all USB devices and the Switch version should be compatible with basically all Bluetooth devices as well. I have no clue why the Xbox version is missing BT, but I’m sure there’s a valid reason.
As usual, 8Bitdo hasn’t posted any lag test numbers, but we know their original arcade stick had around 7ms of lag in BT mode (pretty good!) and around 11ms in 2.4Ghz wireless and USB wired modes. Very weird that BT is the fastest, but maybe this stick will be different? Anyway, check out their main product page for more info.
