VSGravity.com is doing a production run of homebrew “remote mounts” for 20″ BVM monitors. These are made of metal and allow you to mount the display’s controller underneath the BVM, for a much cleaner look. Originals are expensive and really hard to come by, so even at $155 + flat $35 international shipping, these are a great alternative. These are due to ship to customers in about a month. First, please remember this is a small production run of metal parts, so while the price of $155 isn’t “cheap”, it’s absolutely not “overpriced”. Next, please note, the picture above is a prototype and the final units will be a closer match to the BVM’s original color. Of course, CRT BVM’s are 20-30 years old and have all faded in a different way, so a perfect match would be impossible. The team is trying their best to get close though!
Also, according to the site, the exact models compatible with the D-Series kit are as follows: Sony BVM 20F1, D20F1, 20E1, HDM-20E1 and 20G1. And the A-Series kit is only compatible with the one A20 ever released, the BVM-A20F1. Check the links for more information.
