Nintendo has just filed an application with the US Patent and Trademark Office for what appears to be a cellphone case that turns your phone into a GameBoy. It doesn’t seem like something Nintendo would normally do, for many reasons, the biggest of which to me is that it would be impossible to make a “one size fits all” solution for the ever changing cellphone market.
Also, another company has has something similar for awhile that didn’t take off the way they’d hoped:

My personal cellphone has had a non-functional “GameBoy case” for years that looks awesome. In my opinion, something like this would be much cooler for aesthetics than functionality. Maybe I’m wrong and Nintendo is bringing back the GameBoy in a cool and unique way???
