Brawler 64 Pro Kickstarter

Retro Fighters have just launched a Kickstarter for a “Pro” version of their Brawler 64 controller.  This has improved hall effect stick accuracy, with an eight-way notched gate that aims to perfectly match the original N64 analog stick.  There’s also swappable faceplates, multiple colors and three ways to connect:  Wired USB, Wireless 2.4GHz via a USB dongle and Wireless 2.4GHz to an original N64 via the included retro receiver.  The controller is also Switch / 2 compatible as well, so it should work with Switch Online N64 games.  The price is about $65 and it’s due to ship to customers in April of next year.  More info after the link:

One thing to note, is the wired USB mode will offer a 1000Hz polling rate.  Their previous Brawler 64 was already very low latency, with the USB connection averaging 3.3ms of latency and the Bluetooth connection averaging 8.5ms, both in XInput mode.  I’m interested to see how much faster they can get it!

There’s a few stretch goals and other things you might want to check out in the campaign as well.  Overall, it looks like something N64 fans should definitely consider.
