Christof has just released a new firmware for the DCHDMI that prevents the possibility of bricking the console as the result of a bad download. I recommend every DCHDMI owner carefully updates right away, so you won’t have to worry about it at all.
Also, Christof has posted instructions on what to do if your DCHDMI did encounter problems with the update. It seems like a pretty easy fix and in my opnion, it’s awesome that steps are being taken to make this a brick-proof device!
